VISA VISA VISA
to south africa’s credit:
student visa application to visa being approved - 18 days.
that’s really fast for a country who tells it’s applicants the processing takes some 6 months or longer (the actual proof of application says 30 days, but they strike that through before they hand it to you so it says nothing). it’s impressive.

in december of the year 2010, a big chair fell on my big toe. it was the toe on my right foot, my favourite foot. it was very sore and i screamed and might even have sworn. the next day was a basketball tournament, one that i was excited for, considering i had hardly played in the last few years (it was also a oliebollen tournooi, which means that it can in no way be taken seriously). i woke up...
Infecticide.
Here’s what happened.
David Versteeg and Lourens Maritz went mountainbiking. David Versteeg crashed pretty hard but due to his Dutch genetic compilation received only a small degree of physical trauma. However, upon stretching his eyelids the following morning after a fruitful period of nightly respite, he found that there was a pain in his knee that was of such a degree it empties out the...
working late with lourens maritz.
– real late.
so late it’s early, but almost late again.
this is a probable route to make it to victoria...
View Larger Map that is pretty damn exciting. hitchhiking and africa. afterwards i will probably go down through zimbabwe if i can afford the visa, to make it to friends somewhere in pretoria. great succes!

explanation of a mistake.
mistakes are messy. i have had them in the past and this is how they work:
they make hooks.
these hooks are made of iron and rust. they take them from old places where you have not lived for a long while and chisel them out, but you do not feel it, because you have moved out of that place, to another place, where there are other things that live on your mind. mistakes are very clever, you...
hahahaha. i haven’t heard this for so long. it’s so good.
“I was eating a bowl of cereal and I had all these questions and comments. Luckily, there was a number on the box. So I called. I said, “I have a question; is this cereal as delicious as I think it is? And I have a comment. Yes!”

– i had to pay 1400 rand to fix my scooter, as there was a hole in my engine that appeared, and that was not ideal.
my phone dies and resurrects some three times a day, which is not ideal.
my other phone only has signal every now and then, making it lengthly to send things, and delaying the time by...
ON THE TRAIN
from mowbray to paarl, i encountered:
four different trains. mowbray - soutriver - eerste rivier - muldersvlei, to bring me to paarl.
3 hours and 23 minutes of travelling time over some 50 kilometers.
logan, who is a demi-chef, is about two change jobs, must therefore live in cape town and plans to study business next year, in stellenbosch.
as i did not encounter people checking tickets...
ON THE TRAIN
from stellenbosch to mowbray, i encountered:
the singing blind man, who walked up and down the carriages once, singing one hymn i could not recognise, guided by a female companion. one person gave money.
the preacher man, who wanted to speak with us about jesus, but i wasn’t quite sure what he was talking about when he got going, but what do i know. he proceeded to pray really really loud...
more importantly though:
– i have a blond hair on my third rib (i just made the number up, i don’t really know how to count ribs. but its on my right hand side, left when your looking at me, about 7 centimeters down from my nipple).
i noticed it about three weeks ago, and have grown attached to it. which would make our...

1. Use the time of a total stranger in such a way...
– technically he said it, as he is now dead, but that he said it makes that he says it still. i love this.
